Manure Management Planner

MyFarms is proud to partner with Purdue University and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to bring you improved versions of the Manure Management Planner (MMP), which remains publicly available and free-of-charge. Here are the improvements that MMP v4.0.4 (published on June 14, 2024) affords relative to MMP v4.0.3 (published on August 1, 2022):

  • Idaho – Updated the Avail P and K calculations

  • Iowa – Updated reference data and logic associated with the P and K fertilizer recommendations

  • Louisiana – Fixed the P-Index calculation

  • Mississippi – Added “Winter Small Grain Cover” as a cover crop

  • Puerto Rico – Added reference data

  • West Virginia – Updated Soil Test Phosphorous and Storage Type Dilution Factors

  • Soil Info - The SSURGO soil type data was updated on 5/23/2024 for all states in MMP. This update can be observed by clicking "Fields" then "Soil Info" and reading the "Soil File Rev" date in the upper right corner.
